A good book on a rainy day is happiness for me - Ruskin Bond

One place I like the most in New Delhi is India Gate.  The sprawling area facilitates to take a leisurely  walk and for writers,  it is a place for creative ideas.

Those who blame the city's  sweltering summers must forget their curses in winters to  immerse  in the beauty of Delhi, originally known as Dilli which means the city with  people of heart !

This structure was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the architect of New Delhi.

          Built in 1931
Originally known as All India War Memorial
Built in memory of 90,000 soldiers of British Indian Army who lost their lives in World War I and the Third Anglo-Afgan War
          42 metre tall.

India's Republic Day Parade starts from Rashtrapati Bhavan and passes through India Gate.
